about me

Teaching is in my genes. My mother, grandmother, sisters and daughters have all been teachers at one time or another. I remember when I was growing up, my mom said, “get a good education and doors will open.” So when the door to the school library opened this year, I walked in.

Growing up in California, with an engineer for a father afforded many opportunities to dabble in technology. I remember my first glimpse of a computer at Hughes Aircraft. A toe-headed tweener walked into an enormous room filled with panels and blinking lights on dashboards. Beneath one panel, I watched the behemoth computer spitting computer cards with binary code.

Look how far we’ve come...
